About Us
We design websites that keep California’s organizations true to their inclusive ideals.
If you have heard about website accessibility and don’t know what it means, or how it applies to you and your organization, you’re in the right place. We are guides and practitioners, advocates and cheerleaders, and we aim to help you (and a boat load more of California’s organizations) attract and serve a diverse workforce through accessible design, education and one-on-one coaching.

Your Accessibility Professionals
We’re different parts of the same brain, and we’ve worked on website projects together for over a decade.
Our interests and experiences make us a great match, but we had very different journeys before jumping on the web accessibility train together here on the West Coast.

Isla Waite
Founder / Manager
Isla began life in the UK, went to university in Leicester, served in the Royal Air Force and moved around Europe, settled in America, studied Graphic Design, found an internship with Della Gilleran at Marketing by Design (“MbD”) and made a professional home there designing all kinds of things, and later managing the “digital side” of that business.

Rosalinda Huck
Accessibility Design Coach / Web Designer
Rosalinda, a Northern California native, began her early professional career as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, branched out to practice therapeutic massage and bodywork, and later transitioned to a creative career in front-end web design. She met Della and Isla, pulled up a chair at MbD to design and maintain client websites, and quickly became our WordPress websites guru.

Nick Galvez
Accessible Dev Coach / Technical Lead
In his roles as Senior PHP Developer and WordPress Developer, Nick has successfully led diverse engineering teams on complex projects, demonstrating a commitment to crafting web applications that are not only functional but also inclusive. (Where did we find this kind of talent? An accessibility webinar “chat”, of course!)

Della Gilleran
Connector
Della has been a partner/owner of Marketing by Design since 1988, with a love of connecting-the-dots on project requirements, talented people and vendor resources. Though print projects are her first love, she’s learned enough from Isla and Rosalinda to ask relevant questions, see new connections and possibilities, and is excited to support the growth of an accessible internet.
Design for Good
Fast-forward some years — We discovered website accessibility around 2018 and immediately immersed ourselves in the topic. Isla and Rosalinda joined IAAP (International Association of Web Accessibility Professionals), watched countless webinar marathons and began study for the foundational certificates. We found ourselves working on projects with other developers who were making websites more accessible.
We made accessibility a priority in our work… it was impossible not to.
Everything began to make sense. The next step in our careers would be using our accessible website design skills for the greater good. Starting this company allowed us to approach every project accessibility–first, designing through an inclusive lens, and helping others to do the same.
We’re excited to have a conversation with you and see how we can meet and exceed your website accessibility goals. We’ll help you create a roadmap to a more inclusive user-experience.
It’s good for business, it’s good for people, and it’s fantastic for California.
Let’s talk, and see if we’re a good fit.
